Supporting Children and Youth Initiatives
The United Way (UW) is the glue, connecting all sectors of the community who share a goal of making southwestern Pennsylvania a thriving place. UW solves problems by convening experts, including affected communities, to ask how they can thrive. They catalyze giving. With nearly 100 years of expertise in community needs, companies and individuals give to United Way because they know that their investments go farther when they do.
The United Way directs annual distributions from The Dietrich Foundation to support critical children and youth initiatives in Allegheny County. These programs include mentors/tutors programs, quality out-of-school time programs, healthy children programs, school readiness programs, etc.
