Supporting Charitable Programs in Our Community
The Pittsburgh Foundation, established in 1945, promotes responsible philanthropy by evaluating critical issues within the community and connecting donors with identified needs.
Per Bill’s wishes, the staff of The Pittsburgh Foundation decide each year the best use of each annual distribution from The Dietrich Foundation to address immediate needs of the regional community. Annual distributions have supported, among other things, programs to advance issues of generational poverty and lack of opportunity. For the past five years, this campaign has focused on organizations that assist those experiencing food insecurities, homelessness, and loss of employment in the region.
